Scholarships360 provides students with tools and advice to help students achieve financial freedom, helping connect students with more than $221 million in scholarships. Seeking to refresh their brand and create a new look for their website, Scholarships360 came to me to develop a new design direction.
I started by researching existing customer feedback platforms including Milkywire, GoFundMe, inLieu, Kiva, and DonorUP, in order to identify patterns to emulate and opportunities for differentiation.
Patterns to emulate
Bright colors scattered throughout give hierarchy to content
Use of sans-serif typefaces to create modern feel
Use of bright, cheerful colors
Opportunities for differentiation
Go beyond the white background
Bring a modern and sleek feel to the app
Make it stand out
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
The Logo
After studying the competition, I created a logo that would encompass the goals and mission of Reform.
I used three contrasting colors to symbolize diversity, and the outline around βREβ to symbolize inclusion and unification.
